About the Author
Sherry Dee Lady was raised on a farm in a rural Oregon community after spending the first eight years of her life in Portland, Oregon. Her college education includes a Bachelor of Science in Education, a Master’s degree in Education, and graduate work in theater. Following retirement from 30 years in education, she became an ordained interfaith minister through Unity Worldwide Ministries. She is the mother of two children, grandmother to eleven grandchildren, and great‑grandmother to five. Her husband of 58 years passed away in 2016.
Writing has been a joyful, lifelong activity. It was her children and friends who encouraged her to gather some of her writings and put them into a book to share beyond the family circle. While doing graduate work in theater, she completed five full‑length plays, three of which were produced at her community colleges and her church in Eugene, Oregon. She is delighted to share the things that bring her joy with a wider circle of readers, and knowing that what they read might bring a smile, a bit of happiness, or perhaps some fond memories makes the time involved in publishing worth it all.
